Pickleball NSW and the Growth of the Sport
Pickleball NSW is the state's governing body for the sport, supporting clubs, coaches, and players as pickleball becomes one of the fastest growing activities in Australia. From come-and-try days to sanctioned tournaments, the organisation sits at the centre of the sport's growth in New South Wales.
For a body representing pickleball itself, generic equipment was never going to be the answer. Branded paddles needed to reflect the professionalism of the organisation while still being genuinely good to play with, since these are the paddles introducing new players to the sport for the first time.
The Design Process
Pickleball NSW's branding needed to feel official and instantly recognisable to players across the state.
- Design consultation. We worked with the Pickleball NSW team to get the logo, colours, and layout right for a paddle that represents the sport at a state level.
- Mockup review. A digital mockup was shared for approval before production, so the team could sign off on the exact look before anything was made.
- Production. Each paddle was built to the same specification as our retail range, with a polypropylene honeycomb core and quality face material. Paddles that perform properly, not just merchandise.
- Delivery. Paddles were delivered ready to use across Pickleball NSW's programs and events.
