Pickleball Paddle FAQ's

The ins and out of selecting your paddle

What is the difference between pickleball paddles?

The main difference between carbon fibre and fibreglass pickleball paddles is performance. Carbon fibre paddles are stronger, more durable, and give players better control, spin, and precision, making them ideal for those who want to develop their game. Fibreglass paddles, on the other hand, are entry-level options designed mainly for social players, they’re affordable and fun to use, but they don’t offer the same responsiveness or consistency as carbon fibre.

How do you play pickleball?

Players hit a perforated plastic ball over a net using solid paddles. The game can be played in singles or doubles. The objective is to score points by hitting the ball in such a way that the opponent cannot return it successfully.

Is there a certain weight I should look for?

Weight is important. With materials such as fibreglass and carbon fibre, which we provide are the most ideal, as other materials such as wood and composites can have a heavier feel. 220g-235g is ideal.

What Paddle is good for me?

The best pickleball paddle for you depends on what level you are at. If you’re new to the game or playing socially, a fibreglass paddle is best suited, as it is slightly lighter is easiest to handle. Players who prefer power may choose a Carbon Fibre paddle for more pop and durability.
